This Privacy Policy explains how Nelio J. Diaz, operating The Americanized as a sole proprietor ("we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and protects information on americanized.ai and through The Americanized Alerts text message program.

Information we collect

When you sign up for text alerts, we collect:

Your name (first name, optional)
Your mobile phone number
A record of your consent to receive text messages (date, time, and how you opted in), and your opt-out status if you unsubscribe

We don't ask for payment information on this site. Merchandise purchases at theamericanized.shop and donations through Buy Me a Coffee are handled by those services under their own privacy policies.

How we use your information

To send you The Americanized Alerts text messages about new long-form episodes and live shows
To respond to HELP requests and other questions
To honor opt-out requests and keep records of your consent as required by law and carrier rules

We do not sell your personal information.

Our SMS service provider

We use SlickText to send text messages and manage subscriber lists. SlickText processes your name, phone number, and consent records on our behalf only to deliver the program. It is not permitted to use them for its own marketing. Wireless carriers also process message data to deliver texts.

Sharing of mobile information

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

We may disclose information if required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or court order.

How to opt out

You can stop text alerts at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for help. You can also email us at support@americanized.ai to be removed or to ask us to delete your information. See our SMS Terms for full program details.

Data retention and security

We keep your information only as long as you're subscribed, plus any period needed to keep consent and opt-out records required by law. We use reasonable measures, including a reputable SMS provider, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Children

The Americanized Alerts program is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
